Instagram and YouTube Shorts download again, your library gets folders and a trash, and your sign-ins stay on your phone.

• FixedInstagram posts kept asking you to sign in even when you already were, over and over. They now open on the first try, and a post that has been deleted says so instead of asking you to sign in again.
• FixedA YouTube Shorts link copied or shared from YouTube never worked. The extra text YouTube adds to the end of the link was enough to break it.
• FixedYouTube videos downloaded at the lowest quality no matter which one you picked. Choosing 1080p gave you 144p.
• FixedWhen a download failed, Duck blamed your internet connection whatever the real reason was. It now tells you what actually went wrong.
• FixedA download that stopped receiving data sat there for fifteen minutes before giving up. It now stops waiting after a few seconds and tries another way.
• FixedSigning in through the in-app browser and pressing back threw the sign-in away, and the button that opened it often did nothing at all.
• NewA post with photos and videos mixed together downloads each item as what it is, instead of turning everything into one kind.
• NewA Reel can be saved as sound or as its cover picture, not only as a video.
• NewSettings now has Linked accounts: see which sites Duck is signed in to, and sign out of one or all of them.
• BetterYour sign-ins are stored encrypted on your phone and are never kept on our server. They travel with the one download that needs them and are deleted straight after.
• NewMake folders and move files into them. They are real folders on your phone, so what you file away shows up in your file manager and your gallery too, not only inside Duck.
• NewDuck now appears in the list of apps when you open a video or a song from your file manager or gallery, so you can watch and listen in Duck without downloading anything. Files you open that way are never added to your library, and Duck will not delete them.
• NewDeleting gives you a week to change your mind. Deleted files wait in a trash you can reach from any tab, and come back exactly where they were.
• NewA storage screen showing what is using space, broken down by kind, with the largest files first.
• NewSearch your library by name, and order it by newest, oldest, name or size. Arabic search ignores the differences that stop a word matching itself.
• NewSelect several files at once and delete, move or save them together.
• FixedAfter watching a video and closing it, music would not play at all. Video and music share one player, and the video was never letting go of it.
• FixedA video you had already finished opened at its last second instead of starting again.
• FixedLeaving a video part-way through showed it in the playing bar as though it were a song, with a music icon.
• FixedThe playback notification could not be swiped away.
• FixedClosing the player could crash the app.
• FixedA video playlist ignored its own order and played something else next.
• FixedSome changes to a file were quietly discarded when it was saved, which is why deleting one could appear to do nothing at all.
• BetterDeleting one of your own photos or videos from Duck now sends it to your phone's trash for 30 days, where your gallery keeps it too. It used to be permanent — Duck was gentler with the files it downloaded than with the ones you took. Recently deleted shows both, and says which is which.

File management works again, and the vault stops locking you out mid-video.

• FixedThe Videos tab listed music folders and the Audios tab listed video folders. Each tab now shows its own media, and a folder holding both appears in both places with only the matching half inside.
• FixedRenaming, moving and deleting files did nothing on Android 11 and later. The permission dialog never appeared, so the action failed before you could approve it.
• BetterAndroid now asks once for permission to edit your library instead of once per file. Later edits happen without a dialog.
• FixedOpening a video from the vault locked the vault behind you, and going back showed an empty list. Rotating the screen was enough to trigger it.
• NewVault file names and thumbnails are blurred until you tap the eye icon, so a glance over your shoulder shows nothing.
• BetterLeaving the vault returns you to the tab you came from, and no longer asks you to confirm.
• BetterThe vault locks itself after two minutes unused, but never while something is playing.
• FixedThe download progress bar stuttered. It was saving to storage and rebuilding the whole library on every chunk that arrived.
• BetterSwitching tabs and opening screens now slide in one direction instead of fading, and every screen in the app moves the same way.
• FixedProgress read "%20 CACHED" instead of "20% CACHED", folder counts read "1 items", and moving a file reported "Moved 1 file(s)".
• BetterSettings has been rebuilt, and the privacy policy now opens the published page instead of a copy inside the app.
• FixedOld notification channels piled up in Android's settings, six of them doing nothing. The clipboard alert was also five seconds long, three times longer than the sound for a failed download.
