Privacy Policy
Duck Downloader ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application, Duck Downloader (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
Duck Downloader does not upload the media you download, your links, or files in your private vault. Downloads and vault files are stored on your device.
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits and page views in aggregate, including browser, device, and approximate location statistics. It does not use third-party analytics cookies. URL query parameters and fragments are removed before page-view events are sent. Website analytics does not receive your downloaded links, media files, or private vault contents.
The app includes third-party SDKs that may collect data from your device when their features are used. Google AdMob may collect and share device or other identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to deliver, measure, and protect advertising. Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics may collect app usage, diagnostics, device, and crash data when diagnostics are enabled in Settings. These providers process data under their own privacy terms.
- Google Play Services: Used to run the application on Android devices.
- Google AdMob: Used to serve ads in the free version. It may collect and share device or other identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention, and related services.
- Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics: Used for crash reports, diagnostics, and app stability metrics when Send Diagnostics is enabled in Settings. Reports are designed to exclude downloaded links, file names, and vault contents. You can turn collection off in Settings.
2. App Access and Permissions
The app uses Android media permissions to browse and manage media you choose on your device, and to save downloaded media to your library. It does not upload that media to Duck Downloader servers. The app also uses network access to retrieve supported public media and to load ads and optional diagnostics.
3. Security
The App provides a private vault for downloaded media. Vault files are encrypted on your device and unlocked by your PIN or biometrics. They are not sent to Duck Downloader servers. Data sent by Google advertising or diagnostics SDKs is handled by those providers under their privacy and security practices.
4. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
